Famar is pleased to announce the successful certification and start of its new sterile area at its Madrid site. This project, initiated after the site acquisition in July 2011, strengthens and diversifies Famar’s production capacities for sterile products with the addition of up to 3 lines for the aseptic fill and finish of ophthalmic, ear and nasal products (spray and drops).
As scheduled, the new 1000m² sterile workshop, currently set with 2 formulation areas, 1 filling line and 1 packaging line will be extended this summer with a second full fill and finish line. With all three lines installed, the new area will provide a total capacity of 40Mio packs.
After the Lyophilization extension capacity performed in 2008 and 2010 at the Saint Rémy sur Avre site -France, Famar is achieving another key milestone in its development strategy for Sterile forms.
